Uzbek tax body wants Yandex Go registered as tax resident by Dec
TASHKENT, Oct 6 (PRIME) -- Uzbekistan can block taxi service Yandex Go if the aggregator fails to get registered as the country’s tax resident by December, the Tax Committee said on Friday in a Telegram post.
“In September, Ridetech International B.V. was required to align its activities with the legal documents during two months -- it is to pass registration as a tax resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan to work and pay the established taxes; ensure integration with the information system of the tax authorities and provide clients with an automatically formed fiscal check,” the regulator said.
The Netherlands-domiciled Ridetech International B.V. represents Yandex Go in Uzbekistan.
In case of misbehavior till December 1, the tax authority will file a request to block the electronic platform of Yandex Go as an aggregator to the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
Yandex Go is the largest taxi hailing online service in Uzbekistan, where it has been working since April 2018.
